A Message to All Coaches from Head Coach Reuben Salimu

Hi Coaches, I know some of you have noticed that a few trainers are already busy with certificates and it might feel like things are moving without you. Let me clear this up. The only thing happening right now is that our FIDE Trainers and FIDE Instructors are going through an orientation program. This step simply prepares them to become facilitators of our coaching framework so that when we roll out training nationwide, we already have people in place to help deliver it. This is not the full certification rollout. It's just the first brick in a much bigger structure — and every single coach will have their place in it. No one is being left out. We are building this journey together, step by step, and your time is coming. Thank you for your patience, your passion, and your commitment. Together we will lift chess coaching across South Africa to new heights. Yours in chess, Reuben Salimu Head Coach – Chess South Africa
